Yes, the daily fee which all tourists must pay includes a guide so might as well use it 🙂

I love your blog… Amazing photographs! I have a question as a prospective Bhutan traveler. Did you have a guided tour? What was the duration of your stay? How much did it cost you? I am VERY interested in traveling to this amazing place. Thanks so much… 🙂

Hi! I didn’t encounter that much altitude problems in Bhutan. What is the elevation in Cusco? In Thimphu for example, the altitude is only 2,200 meters so it’s not that high up.

I think the best month to go to Bhutan is during the dry season.. this is from October to April.

Regarding #2, sure, why not? 🙂

I have a few questions to ask of you please.
1/ Was the altitude a problem? A number of us travelled to Peru in 2008 and some suffered from altitude sickness in Cusco and Puno.
2/ Do you think that this country is receptive to a group of 12 ladies travelling through their country?
3/ In your opinion what month is best for travel to Bhutan?
I found your comments very interesting and helpful. Thank you, I look forward to your response.
