My wife and I stayed at Shangri-la North Tower Condominium. We stayed February 2017. There is construction going on all around all night long. If you don’t mind listening to the metro all day long and the Jack hammering all night long you may be ok with it. The steam room and Jacuzzi were always dirty. The staff in the lounge area were very rude and sit around using their cell phones all day. If the lady in charge of the lounge would of smiled just once during our stay it may of helped. We were suppose to stay longer but could not take staying there any more. I seldom complain but we were so disappointed with this place.

I’d still want the Oriental touch since I’m not a fan of flowery designs in a room and I think it’s too colorful but I’m sure some would love to stay inside the room for the whole day and have a wonderful breakfast at the Heat. You’re right about the pool as it’s pretty unusual to have it very big.. 😀
