Hi Bino! Thanks for such great pics and advertising of my beautiful city where I was born! love it very much! And hope there will be more and more tourists every year. I am a tourist-guide in Kyiv, by the way had tourists from Singapore, they are great people! I have been to many countries all over the world and can certainly say Kyiv is one of the most beautiful cities. Unfortunately we have not enough advertising all round the world of its beauty and attractions. Good luck to you Bino!!!))))

Kyiv is a bi lingual city in the sense of speaking Ukrainian or Russian (people actually speak many more languages than those.I have lived here for more than 7 years and for you to bring up the word Nazi is not only an insult but shows your lack of education and knowledge of the Ukrainian people.

Nice overview. I should agree that Kyiv is friendly for tourists. And at least even with UA-RU cold and hot wars Kyiv lives its usial live. At the weekends it is difficult to imagine that at the borders with Russia we had and have tensions.

Its a great shame and ‘trolling’ to say how people becomming Nazi…Of course now here nobody likes Russians – but I think it is quite understandable ‘why”. And during the Euro2012 there were lots of russian propoganda about Ukraine. That was not true and now (comparing with those past ‘sweet times’) the same( Even do not worth to continue this stupid propoganda staff. Sorry.

Btw visiting Ukraine it is also interesting to visit at least Odessa (south of Ukraine at the Black Sea) and Lviv. Good connections – intercity trains costs only 7-10 USD.

And Lviv recently defined by Lonely Planet as one of 10 distanation you need to see in 2016 (http://www.lonelyplanet.com/best-in-europe).
